The Next Halo Night
left until the next Halo Night

fr33lancer77-demonstrates-reachs-splatter-defenseFor the first time in a good, long time, we had Halo Night at stinklikeonion's house. Eight of our regular players joined us for a night of trials and test runs. We tried a few adjustments to some recent regular game types, but most notably, we enjoyed three rounds of Bungie's latest foray into the Halo universe: Halo Reach. And an FYI: Halo 3 screenshots have not been captured yet, but they're coming.

Later in the evening, we tried a minor adjustment (with major implications) to one of our recent additions and heavy favorites. We've learned over the last few Halo Nights that Mosh Pit on Heretic is pure chaos thanks to the central pit-like environment and the heavy dose of plasma grenades. You have just a few moments before you get stuck, so you make the most of your time, dodging bullets and littered grenades as much as possible. We found that dropping shields altogether and cutting damage resistance to 50% made the battle all the more epic.

bubbagump-reaches-upwardWe finished the night up with some Halo Reach. For several of our players, it was their first time. For a few others, it was about their second or third. And of course, Riley Craven, WhiteNoise486 (formerly John486), and fr33lancer77 (formerly SPARTEN 4000) took advantage of their advantage in experience (or even exposure), dominating the three rounds we played. Some others, like Zamurai 278, managed to pick up quickly.
