One of our smaller Halo Nights, May 2010 only had seven players. And, most notably, it was the last Halo Night we'll have at Riley Craven's for a while, as a little Riley Craven is right around the corner. We had a lot of fun, though. And unfortunately, due to some technical difficulties with the Bungie site, some of the highlight screenshots we took were lost.
Our huge hit from last time was Mosh Pit on Heretic, so of course we revisited the embattled terrain. This time, there was a bit more strategy, but no less carnage. With the king's points racking up rapidly, there's no time for reservation or hesitation. Most fall victim to a chain reaction of plasma grenades, but those that do not typically find the butt of a rifle against the back of their head. This match has more mayhem than Mayhem.
We enjoyed some classic teams matches, from Balanced Variety and to Utah Mambo, from two teams to three, but a newly revised Heavens Above 2 with three teams offered a very one-sided match on the part of the one team with the most players. In this 2-2-3 match, the third person allowed the pink team to dominate multiple positions, eliminating any momentum from any other team before it could get going.
